One of the advantages of the blacklight was getting a better selection of noctuids, such as this Yellow-striped Armyworm Moth (
Spodoptera ornithogalli). This one gave me some trouble when I tried to identify it since it looks similar to a few other groups of noctuids. Luckily, someone at BugGuide set me straight.
I will continue posting more moths as I get them identified.
